Air too humid
What you see
- Water drops on leaves or walls in the morning
- Musty smell in the room
- Mold appears on leaves or inside buds
Why it happens
Humidity above about 55 percent in flower, poor air movement and dense buds are the perfect setting for mold.
What to do
- Run a dehumidifier and keep humidity at 40 to 50 percent in flower
- Add air movement under and over the canopy
- Remove large inner leaves that block airflow
Next time
- Plan a dehumidifier for flower
- Keep space between plants
Easy to confuse with
- Powdery mildew: White, flour like patches on the top of leaves
- Bud rot (botrytis): A bud has brown, dry or slimy parts inside
