Calciumtekort
What you see
- Kleine bruine vlekken met scherpe randen op nieuwe en middelste bladeren
- Nieuwe groei is verwrongen of gekreukeld
- Bladranden sterven af in onregelmatige vlekken
- Komt vaak voor in coco, in omgekeerd osmose water en onder sterke LED lampen
Why it happens
Calcium verplaatst zich niet in de plant, dus nieuwe groei laat het als eerste zien. Puur of zacht water, coco dat calcium bindt, een pH onder 6,2 of slechte transpiratie bij hoge luchtvochtigheid veroorzaken het.
What to do
- Voeg bij elke voeding een calcium- en magnesiumsupplement toe, zeker bij coco of RO-water
- Houd bodem pH tussen 6.2 en 7.0
- Verbeter de luchtcirculatie zodat de plant transpireert en calcium omhoog voert

- Gebruik cal mag vanaf het begin met zacht water
Easy to confuse with
- Magnesiumtekort: Yellowing between the veins of older and middle leaves while the veins stay green
- Lichtverbranding en lichtverbleking: The top leaves closest to the light turn yellow or white while their veins stay green
- Septoriabladvlekkenziekte: Round yellow spots on lower leaves that turn brown with a yellow halo
