Lichtverbranding en lichtverbleking
What you see
- De bovenste bladeren het dichtst bij het licht worden geel of wit, terwijl hun nerven groen blijven
- Topknoppen worden bleek of wit
- Onderste bladeren blijven gezond
Why it happens
Het licht is te sterk of te dichtbij voor de plant op dit stadium. Het komt vaak voor met krachtige LED-lampen en lijkt op een tekort, maar alleen het topje wordt beïnvloed.
What to do
- Hang de lamp hoger of dim hem
- Controleer de afstand die de lichtfabrikant aanbeveelt voor de bloei
- Gebleekte tops herstellen niet meer, bescherm de rest

Easy to confuse with
- Stikstoftekort: Lower, older leaves turn pale green, then evenly yellow from the tip inwards
- IJzertekort: The newest leaves turn pale yellow while their veins stay green
- Hitte stress: Leaves fold upwards along the middle like a taco
